Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated by Ancient History and Archeology, they would bring me back and allow me to relive the traces of a vanished past, unexplored places and unusual stories through my imagination.

The first time I saw an archaeological site near Rome I was overwhelmed by the emotion of those ruins, which remained in my memory for years. Later, as an adult, I discovered that same imposing place again which is the beautiful Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica!

I chose classical studies because Latin guided me to the deeper discovery of ancient Rome and the Roman Empire. At University, continuing between Archeology, Roman History and Classical Sculpture, I came across a scientific path that immediately attracted my attention: Ancient Topography.

Why was Rome born on the Palatine rather than on another hill? Why was each building built by unknown architects in brick and concrete? Why are all the Roman cities in the world so similar to each other?

For almost 10 years I dedicated myself to explorations, measurements, geolocations, 3D terrain models and photogrammetric returns, obtaining the qualification of Photolector and Photo-interpreter of aerial photographs from the School of Aerocooperation (NATO Accredited Institute).

It is surprising how useful the study of traces can be to plan an archaeological excavation with precision.

After achieving my PhD in Ancient Topography and obtaining the License as Tourist Guide from the Province of Rome, in 2010 I finally united my two great passions: Archeology and narrative magic.

Since then, I have been organising guided tours in Rome for large and small groups, families and pilgrims, Italians and English-speaking tourists from all over the world. Today I am here to share all this with anyone who wants to get excited by discovering and exploring Rome with me.
